A pretty good intro, but occasionally sketchy and error-prone

I learned a lot from the book and would recommend it in general, but I should warn you that there were more than a few typos and errors--both in the main body of the text and in the answer key. These errors caused a lot of frustration, but fortunately i had the Internet to clear up the confusion. I plan to submit a list of these errors to the publisher, in hopes that perhaps future editions will take care of them.
Also, while many of the chapters were well-written, I felt that a few of them seemed rather sketchy and incomplete. It's as though the authors were just sort of rushing through some of the sections. This seemed particular true in the sections on complex numbers and polar coordinates.
Still, the book is a pretty good survey of basic trig concepts with quite a few examples. Just be aware of its fallibility.
